Melynda’s been a better blogger and has several posts and pics up from our most recent weekend.
Take a look at Her Blog
Lately I’ve been digging into the reels and reels of Patagonia footage we took this winter and I’ve been slowly making headway. I’d promised one of the guys on the trip that I’d put some footage together but then kind of forgot about it. He reminded me the other day so I threw some footage together and put it up on Youtube. The editing is best described as from the hip but its kind of fun anyway.
A few months ago, Big Henry bought a rocking horse for Anders. The little guy was just too little to really enjoy it but he’s recently rediscovered it and it has joined his favorite other toys such as the toilet seat, random trash, and the water table. He’s still learning the limits of the physical world but has only rocked all the way back once so far with little damage.
Its also getting very near to August 8th which everyone knows is my sister’s birthday and possibly Anders’ little siblings birthday. We’ve lucked out so far on the temperature as we’ve only had a few days above 90 degrees. Melynda’s ready for the big day though and we decided to have a pre-birth photo shoot in the garden. Enjoy. We’ll have more pics post birth (hopefully August 8th or 9th!)

If you’ve been reading Melynda’s Blog you know that the spring has been nearly interminable. Well it has finally given way to summer and so to celebrate, we busted out the grill and had some veggies and steak. Veggies for all, steak for me. It was very satisfying to put things on top of fire.

Then, yesterday was the annual Livingston Roundup Parade. I put chairs out at 8 a.m. (you can do that here) and GrandMogie and Big Henry came over (M. had to work). At around 2:30 we headed down for a 3pm start. It was a little overwhelming but Anders got the hang of things pretty quickly. Last year he napped through the first five minutes only to be woken up by a loud blast of fire engine siren right in front of us. It made him cry. But this year, it was all Lemonade, crazy sites, and picking up candy and giving it to other kids (seriously, he had more interest in putting the candy where it belonged than eating it, probably b/c he didn’t know what it was.)

The big excitement was adding another major politician to his photo album. This time he met the Governor of the State of Montana,
Here’s one with Senator Max Baucus from last year
